I can’t help but think of a glowing jellyfish when I see this fabric hanging chandelier by Adaura, an American maker.  There’s a strong urge to reach out and touch it, isn’t there?  I would love to put this chandelier over a little side table.  Where would you hang yours?

Lockets are the most magical pieces of jewelry and this one is stunning!  I adore the painted wooden combined with the metal chain.  So Little Time Co., an Australian maker, has a shop full of beautiful jewelry like this wooden photo locket.  What would you put in yours?

Fast Five ~ With LOVE From ME To YOU

Who are you?

First and foremost I’m a Mum of two beautifully challenging daughters. In my spare time (i.e. when the kids are asleep) I make all the creations by hand for my business withLOVEfromMEtoYOU. Oh yes, and my name is Beck!

What do you do?

When I’m not doing the clean-up-mess thing I’m doing the make cards and handmade gifts thing. I hand make a variety of CrArt (craft + art) products from greeting cards to mood boards to tea cup candles. I’m trying to increase what I have on offer every week.

I’m a trained Printmaker and High School Visual Arts teacher so this really informs my tastes. I LOVE paper and it is the main ingredient for many of my products. I try to incorporate as much upcycled and recycled materials as I can. It’s amazing what beautiful papers and treasures in general you can find in unexpected places!

 

What makes you happy?

My family always make me happy even after a stressful day. But really LIFE in general makes me happy! We live in a truly amazing world and there is so much goodness in it – we just have to keep our eyes tuned into the positive and focus on that. Op shops and garage sales make me pretty happy too – oh and did I mention paper?

My dream is…

1.To teach my daughters to live their life fearlessly and with passion.

2. To make the world a better place.

3. To not have to go back to “work” and make a living out of my passion.

DIY ~ Stamped Kraft Book Covers

In school, I had to cover my books to keep them slightly safe as I lugged them back and forth from school to home and back again.  However, these book covers are so much cooler than my old ones because of the lovely stamped letters!  This Little Sparrow shared this simple DIY project for stamped Kraft book covers on her blog.

Apple Pie Bars

Apple pie in bar form with butterscotch chips?  Be still my heart!  These bars by Princess in the Kitchen look so delicious.  I can’t wait to make these bars.  They will certainly take less work than a pie.
