What People are Saying…

I burnt some midnight oil last night and read the latest issue and it is by far my favourite… It looks aesthetically amazing, reads really well and the content is just fab – you’ve hit the nail on the head – Sophie Hill of That Vintage

I loved my 1st edition of *bespoke* and was so excited when I got it that I had to go make a cuppa and sit down with it where upon I read it cover to cover.

I think it’s fantastic! Beautiful graphics and artwork teamed with a array of interesting and inspiring ‘real life’ artisan stories and fun tutorials.. I also loved reading about people whose names I knew.. Felt like I was somebody who knew somebody. :) The variety was whimsically eclectic and the whole zine had a wholesome down to earth handcrafted heart beating steadily through from the first page to the last.

Congrats Jess on seeing your idea and vision coming to life in such a beautiful way..I look forward to my next *bespoke* zine xx ~ Vicki Weetman

The Team

Jessica Van Den is the editor/crazy person behind this project.

I’m a full-time crafty lady who has a passion for all things handmade and vintage! I blog daily about my life and business over at Epheriell Designs, where I talk about how I’ve created my very own DIY life.

I live in a converted shed with my husband and kitty-cat, Gobbolino, and spend my days making jewellery under the labels Epheriell and Vintette, as well as doing all the behind-the-scenes action here at *bespoke*

I have an obsession with 1950s vintage dresses, my kindle costs me way too much money, and I am, unsurprisingly, addicted to tea.

Megan Eckman is the Associate Editor and lady to speak to about everything regarding the *bespoke* blog!

Hi!  I’m Megan and I call myself a Californian, though I grew up in a frigid state along the Canadian border (the sort of state that contains more snow than people).

I’m a quirky pen and ink illustrator who totally confused my art professors when I couldn’t make ‘serious’ work.

I’m a freelance writer, a book collector, and a cat magnet.

My partner in crime is a photography grad student (which just goes to show that two artists CAN live together – we just make bigger messes and call it ‘art-in-progress’).

Mikaela Danvers is the graphic designer extraordinaire, who turns *bespoke* from words and images into the lovely little final package.

Hello!I am a designer, photographer, teacher, homeowner and wifey (and soon to be muma).  My passions (besides design and photography) include Food, Sport, Landscaping and Renovating, and fun DIY & Crafty projects. I am madly in love, with my husband, my fur-kids, and life in general.I run two micro-businesses, DanversCreative.com – my freelance Graphic Design business, and Mikaela.com.au – where I design, make and sell jewellery and accessories.

I’m into photos. Not just professional photography, but snapshots of random events. I love that these images are documenting a time in our lives, be it happy or sad, for us to look over later and remember that moment.

My blog is about the things I love to do, when I can find the time to do them, and serves as a photographic journal of day-to-day happenings.

Amie McCracken is one of the red-pen-wielding proofers that help clean *bespoke* up of all it’s typos!

I’m a voracious reader. My calling in life is editing. I’m ambitious and strong, but shy and like to sit in the background. I live in Germany with my husband, camera, computer, and a lot of ideas floating around in my head. They tend to take over (the ideas), and most of the time you’ll catch me staring off into space.

I like to capture moments, whether with writing or my camera. Moments in peoples lives that are painful, exhilarating, dull, perfect, teary, basically anything.

    • Hi Lesley, Eliza should be receiving her copy any day now – they went out last week, so they shouldn’t take any longer than 3-4 days to arrive anywhere in Australia!
